Sheikh El Shaakir #521529
Straight Egyptian Black Stallion - Sheikh El Shaakir #521529 - 1995 Haziz Halim son out of an extremely beautiful Ansata/Babson bred mare. Beautiful head, straight legs, great confirmation and good knee and hock action. He has no white markings but he does have some roaning between his hind legs, in the flank area and on the dock of the tail. His mane and tail are long and full and he really is a handsome horse to look at. For those interested in preservation breeding he is qualified as straight Egyptian, Blue List, Al Khamsa and Asil. He has never been offered at public stud but many inquiries have been received over the years. Most of his offspring are black with a few bays. One daughter was sold to Saudi Arabia and two of his dam's full sisters are also located at different farms in Saudi Arabia. A full brother to his dam is located in France. His sire also has get and descendents overseas. Shaakir spends his days outside and his nights in his stall. He is not a mean horse but always has something in his mouth; lead rope, cross ties, etc. He does know that the human body is off limits. He is a good boy but that is his quirk. Shaakir was green broke and ridden as a three-year-old but has not been ridden since that time. He has always been collected when breeding and he has never covered a mare naturally. The only reason this horse is being offered for sale is that I feel he is being wasted. He is a horse of great quality and bloodlines and he should be utilized in a breeding program. He would be of particular interest to those interested in a straight Egyptian breeding program, a black breeding program or in acombination of both. As a young horse he stood in the shadow of my two older stallions, Serhabbas (Ansata Abbas Pasha x Serabah) and Ansata Ali Abbas (*Ansata Ibn Halima x Faye Roufa). He was then used just on my own mares and then after thirty years of breeding I decided to stop and just keep Shaakir and five females as pets. Three of these mares are his daughters and one is a full blood sister. I do not need to sell this horse but he might as well be used and appreciated by someone looking for what he has to offer. He would make a great outcross on The Minstril and Thee Desperado bred horses. A good home with knowledgable horse people is a must. |
